CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Rossview kicker Zaden Webber was one of six kickers to reach the semifinal round for the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards, announced Thursday.

The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football awards will be presented to the top football players in the state’s nine football classifications during a ceremony at Nissan Stadium on Nov. 25. Along with the Mr. Football award, the state’s top kicker will be recognized, regardless of classification.

A committee of sports writers from across the state selected the winners based on performances during the 2018 regular season. Academics and character were also taken into consideration.

Webber made 11 of 15 field goal attempts during the regular season, hitting a career-long 55-yard kick. He made 21 of 22 extra point attempts and 24 of his kickoffs went for touchbacks.

Webber, a 5-foot-8, 160 pound senior, also took over punting duties in the season’s second half.

Webber received an scholarship offer from Murray State this past week and was selected to play in the Toyota East vs. West Tennessee All-Star Classic, which will be played at Austin Peay’s Fortera Stadium.

Rossview will play at Oakland in the opening round of the 6A playoffs Friday.

This is the 34th year a Mr. Football award will be presented to Tennessee’s top high school football player. Mike Keith, the voice of the titans, will present the awards.
