Richardson finishes 44th at Southeastern Amateur

Clarksville, Tenn. – Hunter Richardson finished in a tie for 44th at the 87th Southeastern Amateur, which wrapped up Saturday at the Country Club of Columbus (Ga.).

Richardson shot a four round 74-71-72-73 – 290, 10 strokes over par.

The UT Martin golfer had two birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey during the final round Saturday. Richardson’s double-bogey occurred on the No. 15 hole. He double-bogeyed the No. 15 twice in four rounds.

Richardson finished with 50 pars, 13 bogeys and two double bogeys. He had seven total birdies.

Jared Bettcher (Auburn, Ala.) won the tournament shooting a 69-68-68-68 – 273. Bettcher finished 7 strokes under par. Benjamin Shipp (Duluth, Ga.) finished second, finishing with a four-round total of 276.

Only four of the 61 golfers to make the cut for Saturday’s final round shot under par.
