Clarksville, Tenn. – Clarksville High was handed its first loss this season, dropping a 5-4 game to Father Ryan Friday.

The difference proved to be errors, especially in the late innings in a back-and-forth game.

Despite early errors, neither could cash in on the miscues. The Wildcats and Irish remained scoreless until the fourth inning, that’s when the Irish caught some momentum to build a 2-0 lead.

Clarksville High answered with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Father Ryan regained the lead an inning later, but the Wildcats again responded to take a 4-3 lead heading into the sixth inning.

The Irish forced across a run in the top of the sixth inning and scored the go-ahead run in the seventh inning off another error.
